Various Cultures have different approaches as to how they handle conflict. Communication styles vary and awareness of the styles makes for an easier flow of the mediation process. Knowing the gestures and communication styles amongst various cultures makes it easier for a mediator to be able to facilitate the discussion necessary for the parties to come up with a settlement agreement.
